This Takahashi authentic original beautiful life-like male Red Cardinal was carved by Y. Takahashi and was painted by Kiyoka Takahashi. Handmade in the 1970s and 1980s in Garden Grove California. There are a lot of counterfeits, fakes, and replicas of these birds for sale. This is the real deal! The artist Kiyoka Takahashi passed away in 1994. A beautiful rare collectible piece. The brooch is 2 1/8" long.
