The Metropolitan Museum of Art Mosaic Tiffany Column Ballpoint Pen is inspired by the brilliant mosaics on a stunning column in the Museum's collection. Designed by Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848-1933) one of America's most noted decorative artists at the turn of the 20th century. A pair of mosaic columns inlaid with glass tesserae, a mosaic concept taken from Roman and Byzantine art are exhibited in Tiffany's New York showrooms on Madison Avenue. The pen features the shimmering column with subtle shading from midnight blue to pale peacock with a brass overlay.
